The 2050B3 future without project condition represents predicted conditions that will exist in South Florida in 2050, without the implementation of CERP projects. In general, assumptions in the 2050B3 represent structures, operations, and land use projected to be in place in the year 2050. Public water supply demands are those that were projected during the development of the CERP (the Restudy), as are agricultural demands in the Caloosahatchee River basin.
The 2050 future without project condition is used for planning purposes, and since planning by nature is iterative this latest simulation is labeled 2050B3, with the expectation that it will be updated as assumptions change over time. It is the 2050 future without project condition that we use in planning to measure the benefits of the implementation of the CERP.
